HORSE & PONY REHABILITATION

Because Every Horse Deserves a Chance to Heal

At Think Like a Pony, we believe that no horse or pony is beyond hope. Many of the equines who arrive here have experienced neglect, trauma, or simply deep misunderstanding — but we see them from a different perspective.

OUR APPROACH

With patience, skill and compassion

Our rehabilitation follows the award-winning Think Like a Pony methodology. This relationship-based approach focuses on building trust and meeting each horse's emotional, mental and physical needs. Every step is taken at the horse's own pace, with a focus on high levels of welfare and ethics.

WHO WE WORK WITH
Mental, emotional or physical imbalances
Lost trust in people
Behavioural challenges
Fear-based responses — bolting, biting, aggression

FINDING A FOREVER HOME

Some stay with us, others move on to a new chapter

Some of our ponies stay and become part of our youth and riding school programmes, helping children grow in confidence and empathy. Others move on to carefully chosen homes where their progress can continue.

A SAFE SPACE TO HEAL

Wellbeing, in every sense

Rehabilitation goes far beyond training. We address every aspect of the horse's wellbeing — from hoof care and veterinary needs to diet, environment, and companionship. Here, they live in a herd setting, roam freely, and learn to relax again.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

Every bucket, every visit, every quiet hour

Rehabilitation is time-intensive and costly. By sponsoring a pony or donating, you directly give a horse or pony the chance to live a safe, happy, and purposeful life.
